Operations Executive

– 1 to 4 years’ Relevant experience

Responsibilities

– Assist in the day-to-day operations of the freight forwarding department, supporting the operations manager and team members.
– Coordinate and monitor the movement of shipments, ensuring adherence to timelines and customer requirements.
– Prepare and process shipment documentation, including invoices, customs paperwork, and shipping instructions.
– Liaise with carriers, airlines, agents, and other stakeholders to arrange transportation and logistics services.
– Track and trace shipments to provide timely updates to customers and resolve any transportation-related issues.
– Assist in the coordination of customs clearances, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements.
– Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, customer service, and warehouse, to facilitate smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
– Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and other data using relevant software or systems.
– Assist in the implementation of operational procedures and workflows to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
– Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Required Skills

– Relevant work experience in operations, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
– Basic knowledge of international freight forwarding principles, processes, and documentation requirements.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately prepare and process shipment documentation.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with stakeholders and provide customer service.
– Proficiency in using computer systems and software, such as Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
– Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
– Strong problem-solving skills to promptly address operational challenges and resolve customer inquiries.
– Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage information and data accurately.
– Team player mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
– Willingness to learn and adapt to changing industry trends and operational procedures.
